The fabric I selected for my Teru costume online is way too dark *cries*. That's what I get for buying my fabric on a whim without ordering a swatch. Now I don't know what I'm going to use...it was bad enough trying to find that one *sinks down into a mass of goo*.

I have fabric I can't use...GO ME!! *dies*

It's been super crappy here...weather-wise. If it's not raining it's windy and if it not windy it's rainy and windy XD. I was hoping I might be able to get some awesome shots of my Yumeru costume but nope. They may have to wait till next year...suckage!

Other than that costume work has been slow. I did start the mock-ups of Teru's costumes. The man-skirt wrap looks like it will be a whole lot of awesome! I'm currently working on the jacket...I may post a shot of the mock-up...but I probably won't because they always looks so blah at that stage XD. I'm kinda jumping in-between costumes because my brain needs variety.

In January we are going to head into Seattle and watch Hikaru Utada live. That should be awesome!

Oh yeah, I FINALLY got the first season of my most FAVORITE TV series on re-mastered DVD. The Road to Avonlea! I grew up with this awesome series and I'm so very happy I get to enjoy it again in. If you like good old fashioned family entertainment I very much suggest it. It is a wonderfully addictive series!

I wore only part of my costume to work because I wasn't to keen on wearing shorts to work and I didn't want my fur warmers to get dirty. I was the only one at work in costume XD

I decided this year I would hang out with my co-worker/friend Evelyn and her family. I enjoyed watching her kids trick-or-treat! It was awesome getting to see all the little kids and teenagers dressed up. Where I live we don't get many trick-or-treaters.

I was invited to a party as well but I passed because I wasn't sure how long I would be out with my friend and her kids. There were other deciding factors but I won't go into those.

People were quite impressed with my costume, I even had one lady come up to me when I was at Costco say "I was the best costume she had seen so far". I got many compliments and stares *lol* and apparently Yumeru is quite the cute guy because that's what people kept saying to me while I was in the costume.

Her costume is pretty simple but she's one of my favorite characters from King of Fighters so I'm super excited about wearing it! When I came out in it my mom was was like "Wow short.". Yeah this is the shortest skirt I think I've ever worn XD. I don't wear skirts or dresses very often...I feel so exposed *ROFLOL*

I'm hoping I can get her costume done within the next few weeks. That way I can move onto either Teru, Jin, Miku or Otani. *hehe* I'll probably jump between Teru and Jin ^^

aoi_menai I got the package you sent me(actually a couple of weeks ago XD)! Thank you so much!!! The candy was a bit strange *lol* and I adore my man-chest(which is located on my computer desk) and the awesome bookmark!

So all I have left to do on Yumeru's costume is the neck scarf, the tail, the ears and cut and dye the wig. I won't show anymore Yumeru's costume pictures till it's complete.

Also, I got my hair cut and colored today. I was going for something similar to Teru's hair with just blonde in the front side and bang areas. The bangs are a bit shorter than I was aiming for but they will grow out ^^

This is what happens when you've been in paradise too long!

In-case some of you don't know, I work for an Assisted living facility. We get a newsletter at the first of each month that contains a whole bunch of different info. They usually always have a spotlight on a resident. Come to find out there was a couple in the facility that was married for 78 years. That is just, WOW!

So alittle over a week ago I got a new Fishtank! It's a 16 gallon bow front tank ^^ my previous tank was a 10 gallon rectangle. So a whole 6 gallons more! YAY!! I can stuff a couple of more fish in *ROFLOL*. I wanted a 20 gallon bow front but they were just a bit too big to fit on my current cabinet. I didn't want to go with a rectangle again because it's nice to change it up a bit. Anyway, I took a couple of pictures ^^ the theme is "You sunk my BATTLESHIP!"





Spotty number 2 already knocked the two front plants up out of the gravel as well as the Lok-Rocks XD

We added 3 neons and 3 Zebra Danio's. However I already lost a Neon...we can't even find the body ^^;;

I was cleaning our email out a bit and I noticed the e-ticket information for our Chicago Acen trip. I got all teary eyed and had a little happy moment! It was so exciting and I had so much fun. I wished everyday was like that ^^

I drew this for my co-worker whom I actually talked into reading Reborn. Which she has been enjoying! I asked her who her favorite character was and she said Dynamite boy. She's not familiar with all this anime and manga stuff so she is having a hard time remembering some of the Japanese names. Anyway I decided that I would draw her a picture of Gokudera. She was kind enough to order a couple of volumes for me along with keeping me sane at work. It was the least I could do for her ^^

Anyway I share with all of you! Perspective drawing is not my forte so I apologize if the dynamite is off looking. The cheek is a bit off as well but...please, enjoy the Dynamite boy!

The jacket is all sewn up...I'm just adding on the details now. The white trim, the white fur on the bottom and the little studs which I might replace with jewels if I can't find suitable studs.

Not too much left ^^ I guess I can move onto the next costume now.

Yumeru Progress 6 - My brother wanted me to hold the guitar. No I'm not holding it the wrong way. Yumeru is indeed a left handed guitarist however we do not have a left handed guitar as my brother is right handed. I'm left handed but I play with my right. Wow that was kinda long XD

So yesterday we had a couple of close calls. One of the neighbors fireworks(that shot mortars) decided to tip over and start shooting it's balls down the street. One blew up in our tree(no damage done) and then another one blew up in our neighbors driveway. He bravely ran over and tipped the thing back up with his foot. Scary! The second one was ours and it shot small mortars but decided to blow one right out of it's side into the neighbors yard. We had to run over make sure everything was all right, everything seemed to be fine. Other than that it was an awesome, fun night! Very loud in the area ^^
